During my flight to San Francisco last weekend, the pilot mentioned that today was one of the flight attendant's birthday. He continued about how she was working on her birthday and added, "No one likes to work on their birthday."
What a broad statement. Possibly true. But I'm not sure.
As I think about it, I know I'm typically cranky around the day of my birthday. Maybe it's because I never take a vacation day on that day. I have a friend who loves his birthday; he takes the whole week off around that time. Maybe I'm doing it wrong.
What do you think, do you like working on your birthday? Does "no one"?

I don't really mind working on my birthday.
My birthday occasionally falls on a holiday (Thanksgiving.) And I love it when that happens. Get to see a parade, eat turkey and watch football all day.
I love the work I do but I always take off on my birthday. I don't even tell people at work why. It's my private indulgence.
