On Friday, Fistful Of Talent released their quarterly results of the talent management blogs that keep them on their toes. I'm honored and thankful that the writers at FOT considered the work done here at Welcome To The Occupation in such regard to rank it #17 out of 160 blogs that are written on the subject.
There are two things I want to say about this. First, in the past seven months since I started this blog, I've had the opportunity to meet some of the other bloggers on this list: Lance Haun, Charlie Judy, Victorio Milian, Frank Roche, Trish McFarlane, Laurie Reuttimann, and Ben Eubanks. They are all smart folks and I'm a fan of their work. It's quite an honor to be included on the same list as them.
Secondly, is this is the second time in this blog's short life, that FOT has honored my work on this blog. And the best thing about this, is this gives me the opportunity to devote a part of a post to everyone who has supported WTTO. I know there is a great deal of resources and blogs on the subject of HR that one can turn to on the internet. But the fact that you chose to subscribe to my RSS feed, my email list, or save the URL in your browser's favorites is something that I would have never predicted when I started this venture in November 2009. Nor something I want to take for granted.
I'm very honored by your following . So allow me to take this time right now and say:
Thank you.

Your blog is a must read for me every day, and is usually read from the comfort of my bed before my day has even officially started.
As I told you in Chicago, I think your blog is awesome and I'm glad other people are recognizing this fact as well. Keep up the good work and keep writing from the heart. That's where all the good stuff comes from.
honored to be on the list with you, my friend. i've learned a lot from reading your work and enjoy watching (and benefiting from) your contributions to our great profession. peace
